Our next level APP has been released! Spanish School Bus has all three of our apps combined: vocabulary, numbers & verbos! We are excited to have everything in one app that is now subscription based. The app also features music videos from our newest album, A celebrar con Mariposas. You can download the APP on HERE.
2024 Summer Camp
This summer, we’ll have 2 sessions available to campers ages 3.5-8 year of age. And students ages 9+ can apply as assistants!!! They can practice their Spanish while getting in some experience working with children. See our camp page for more details.
2023-24 Registration
Registration for our classes during the 2023-24 school year is ongoing for most schools. You can enroll at any time as long as there is space in the class. Some locations may be full. Visit our Class Locations page to find your child’s school.
If you do not find a location that works for you, check our Mercado for easy ways to practice at home!

Voted Best Specialty Camp 2022! | Austin Family Magazine
Thank you Austin Families for choosing us as the Best Specialty Camp! Although our main focus is teaching our students Spanish, we do our best to have fun by learning through science, games, dance, music, cooking, art, Montessori lessons and much more. We always focus our camps environmental awareness and kindness which we feel students truly enjoy.
Dear-Future Pen Pal Collaboration
Mariposas is excited to announce our special Pen Pal Project with students from remote villages in Peru! We’ve connected with non-profit, Dear-Future to coordinate the exchange of Pen Pal postcards from Austin Mariposas students over to children in Peru! It’s been a great experience so far and we look forward to connecting the students via video during our camps this summer! See more of about our Community Action here.
Little Seed Library
Participate in our newest venture for the community! In collaboration with Hyde Park Montessori, Mariposas is now sponsoring a Little Seed Library at our office/summer camp location. The Seed Library contains seeds and information about growing food for yourself and community.
It works just like a Little Book Library- take a pack, leave a pack system. These “libraries” exist to encourage food sharing and gardening in communities and families.

We are grateful for the Austin Community voting us Best in Online Tutoring and Children’s Education. In the last year, we had to pivot our in person curriculum to online virtual learning by hosting zoom classes and on demand (pre recorded) classes. Mariposas Spanish Immersion Day Camps 2022-23
Mariposas Day Camps are offered on most AISD Holidays. They are a fun and pressure-free way for children to practice their Spanish naturally through themed lessons, outdoor activities/nature exploration, games, music, yoga and beyond! We will be updating our day camp page soon! .

Picking up vocabulary and language foundations comes easy; and unknowingly, kids are getting a big cognitive boost in brain development through being bilingual.

Virtual Language Education - Press Release
Mariposas Spanish School is proud to continue providing high-quality Spanish education for children across the country through Mariposas en Casa, their virtual Spanish program, in 2021. Mariposas en Casa was developed in Spring 2020 as response to the local community demand for continuing Spanish education at home following the cancellation of in-classroom learning due to COVID-19. Over the last ten months, Mariposas Spanish School has been able to provide virtual live and on-demand classes at the international level, with families logging in from Texas to Mexico to England.
